CREATING A MOTHER OF A TIME LORD
When God made mothers, He was working 'overtime' on the 6th day.
An angel of the Lord came and said softly: "Lord, Lord many nian time spent to create the 'mother' is?"
And the Lord answered quietly: "Do not you see the details of that to be done? This mother should be made of materials that are washable but not plastic. Should consist of 200 parts supple, limp, and not quickly accomplished. He should be able to live off a little strong tea and food potluck .. Having ears wide to accommodate grievances, have a kiss that can cure a sprained foot, the tongue is sweet to glue the broken hearts and six pairs of hands! "
The angel shook her head, "Six pairs of hands ...?"
"Of course! Not hands but the hands that serve troublesome here and there, set everything better .... ", replied the Lord.
"Also, the three pairs of eyes that must have a mother."
"How is the model?" Angel getting surprised.
The Lord nodded: "A pair that sees through the 'door' is closed and asks 'What are you doing in there?' When those eyes already know the answer. The second pair of eyes should be placed at the back of his head, so that he can look back without looking. That is, he can see exactly what he should not see. And the third pair of eyes to look at a child gently admitted his mistake. Eyes must be able to talk! Eyes that should say 'I understand and I love you!' Though not pronounced a word .. "
"God," the angel said again, "rest!"
"I can not! I've almost finished. He should be able to heal itself when he was sick. He must be able to feed six people with one and a half ounces of meat. He also had ordered his 9 year old boy was bathing at the time did not want to shower.
"Finally, the angels keep turning slowly maternal sample. "Too soft!" He commented.
"But strong," said the Lord excitedly. "You can imagine what he could bear, bear and suffer!"
"Can it think?" Said the angel again.
"He was not only able to think, but it can give ideas, ideas and compromise," said the Creator.
Finally the angel touched something in cheek: "Uh, there's a leak in here!"
"That's not a leak," the Lord said, "It's a tear."
"Why the tears?" Asked the angel again ..
The Lord replied, "Tears are a way for the mother to express joy, sadness, disappointment, pain, loneliness, difficulties, and pride."
"God is an expert ...", the angel said quietly.
Tears of a mother is sometimes very difficult to express. Sometimes it is the tears of disappointment, sometimes tears of joy. Sometimes tears of anger, tears occasionally gust emotion or tears great pleasure. Mother's tears is a weakness as well as strength. With tears and prayers of a mother who did not drop out, we all grew up ...
My mom only had one eye. I hated her... she
was such an embarrassment. My mom ran a small shop at a flea market. She
collected little weeds and such to sell... anything for the money we needed,
she was such an embarrassment. There was this one day during elementary school,
I remember that it was field day, and my mom came. I was so embarrassed. How
could she do this to me? I threw her a hateful look and ran out. The next day
at school..."Your mom only has one eye?!" and they taunted me.
I wished that
my mom would just disappear from this world so I said to my mom, "Mom, why
don't you have the other eye?! You're only going to make me a laughingstock.
Why don't you just die?" My mom did not respond. I guess I felt a little
bad, but at the same time, it felt good to think that I had said what I'd
wanted to say all this time.
Maybe it was
because my mom hadn't punished me, but I didn't think that I had hurt her
feelings very badly.
That night...
I woke up, and went to the kitchen to get a glass of water. My mom was crying
there, so quietly, as if she was afraid that she might wake me. I took a look
at her, and then turned away. Because of the thing I had said to her earlier,
there was something pinching at me in the corner of my heart. Even so, I hated
my mother who was crying out of her one eye. So I told myself that I would grow
up and become successful, because I hated my one-eyed mom and our desperate
poverty.
Then I
studied really hard. I left my mother and came to Seoul and studied, and got
accepted in the Seoul University with all the confidence I had. Then, I got
married. I bought a house of my own. Then I had kids, too. Now I'm living
happily as a successful man. I like it here because it's a place that doesn't
remind me of my mom.
This
happiness was getting bigger and bigger, when someone unexpected came to see
me. "What?! Who's this?!"... It was my mother... Still with her one
eye. It felt as if the whole sky was falling apart on me. My little girl ran
away, scared of my mom's eye.
And I asked
her, "Who are you? I don't know you!!!" as if I tried to make that
real. I screamed at her "How dare you come to my house and scare my
daughter! GET OUT OF HERE! NOW!!!" And to this, my mother quietly
answered, "Oh, I'm so sorry. I may have gotten the wrong address,"
and she disappeared. Thank goodness... she doesn't recognize me. I was quite
relieved. I told myself that I wasn't going to care, or think about this for
the rest of my life.
Then a wave
of relief came upon me... One day, a letter regarding a school reunion came to
my house. I lied to my wife saying that I was going on a business trip. After
the reunion, I went down to the old shack, that I used to call a house... just
out of curiosity there, I found my mother fallen on the cold ground. But I did
not shed a single tear. She had a piece of paper in her hand.... it was a
letter to me.
She wrote:
My son... I
think my life has been long enough now. And... I won't visit Seoul anymore...
but would it be too much to ask if I wanted you to come visit me once in a
while? I miss you so much. And I was so glad when I heard you were coming for
the reunion. But I decided not to go to the school... For you... I'm sorry that
I only have one eye, and I was an embarrassment for you.
You see, when
you were very little, you got into an accident, and lost your eye. As a mother,
I couldn't stand watching you having to grow up with only one eye... so I gave
you mine... I was so proud of my son that was seeing a whole new world for me,
in my place, with that eye. I was never upset at you for anything you did. The
couple times that you were angry with me, I thought to myself, "it's
because he loves me." I miss the times when you were still young around
me.
I miss you so
much. I love you. You mean the world to me.
My world
shattered!!! Then I cried for the person who lived for me... My Mother
Junior High School Students Should Bring Their Own Lunch

Lately, we can find a lot of unhealthy food outside the school. Some food sold outside the school fence may use bad quality of packaging. Sometimes the low quality of packs can cause cancer for our body. If we often buy unproven food with bad quality of packaging, we may make a serious damage to health. The plastic packaging can be harmful if it makes contact with the food, especially when the food inside is hot. The chemical substance in plastic can give us bad effect. Many chemical products are added to the food such as synthetic dye. Some of chemical products can make food look brighter and well-preserved, and so on. Synthetic dye can also cause cancer and the other bad effects, it can lead to make skin irritation, respirationy problem, and so on. Many kinds of food consist of the chemical substance that can make the food durable. Junior high school’s students have not known yet about the issue concerning of health food sold outside of the school . Many of them always buy their lunch outside the school fence because they consider themselves not kids who still need bring their own lunch. Bringing lunch box to the school can be too embarrassing for them. Beside that, sometimes parents will get rush to prepare their children’s lunch in the morning. We know that mothers do not have much time because of many activities in the morning so they will get rush for preparing lunch. Beside that, children’s stuff will be heavier because they bring books and lunch box. No matter how hard to prepare lunch box for their children, it is the easiest way to give the best for them.
Parents want to give and provide the best for their children. We already know with the bad effects caused by the unproven healthy foods without good quality, such as cancer, irritation, and the other serious damage. They need to have many ideas to give them healthy food. Parents can make their children want to bring their own lunch box in some ways, for example parents make the different food everyday and give them a lunch box with their favorite cartoon such as Hello kitty, Naruto, or Shaun the Sheep, etc. Parents can also keep and control their children’s lunch by making their children own lunch in the morning. When we give the healthy foods for them, it means that we protect their body from bad chemical substance that can make bad effects for our health, so children will be protected from unhealthy food from outside. We do not know what the bad chemical substances inside the food. Junior high school students who bring their own lunch can learn how to manage and save their money because they do not necessary need to buy any food from outside school. In order to keep and control their children’s health from bad effects of chemical products, parents must prepare foods for their lunch. It can be a good choice for parents to ensure their lovely children’s health. (Ast)

Nowadays, many people have BlackBerry. Adults, teenagers, even children use BlackBerry. Sometimes they use BlackBerry without knowing about its function, they only follow others people who use BlackBerry, because they think that BlackBerry is luxurious thing and it is popular. Actually, there are advantages that make BlackBerry popular. A lot of people are fond of texting. From BlackBerry they are spoiled with applications or features of BlackBerry, such as BlackBerry Messenger, Message, E-mail, or Social Media. From that features, they can get satisfaction themselves, because they can communicate with others people easily. Because of many applications in BlackBerry that are related to internet, such as social media (twitter, Facebook, yahoo messenger, my space, etc) and browsing (Google, social browser, etc), so it is easier for people to access the internet. Now, people who have BlackBerry don’t need to bring their laptop or modem everywhere and every time to access internet. Beside the advantages that I said before, there is an interesting advantage from BlackBerry. People can make or get money because they can make online shop from their BlackBerry. The advantages that I have said before make people think and realize that BlackBerry is very useful in their life. But, I don’t want talk about it further and instead I think that BlackBerry should be banned. I will ask “have you ever realized about the negative impacts of BlackBerry ?”. So in my article I want to talk about the negative impacts of BlackBerry.
First of all, I think that BlackBerry makes people very busy with their BlackBerry. They become more interested in their BlackBerry and they think that BlackBerry is the most important thing in their life. It makes them prefer doing anything with their BlackBerry than interacting with other people and doing something which is more important in their life. For example, we know that now many children have BlackBerry, and I see that they are more interest and very busy with their BlackBerry than studying or playing with other children. Parents must aware about it, not only parents I think, but also all of people must aware. Secondly to activated all features or applications in BlackBerry, people must have a lot of money or at least enough money to activated their BlackBerry. If they have worked, it doesn’t matter to them, but if they are us as a student, it can be burdensome for us. Because we still require money to our parents, it also can be burdensome for our parents. This is the last thing that I think is the most important negative impacts and makes BlackBerry should be banned. It is BlackBerry makes people become far from their real world and real life. Like I said before, it makes people prefer doing anything with their BlackBerry, on account of they become very busy with their BlackBerry. and I think that their life and world is in their BlackBerry. Indonesian Culture is on Indonesian Young Generations

Indonesia being one of the most beautiful countries on earth, rich for its inheritances, has so many interesting things uncovered. People from around the world are trying to escape from their daily work life here; where products of our culture are blooming like flowers in the field, people want to learn and to know about Indonesian culture. However, though we live in modern era where everything demands our time, we should not forget about our culture. As Indonesians sometimes we choose other countries’ culture to be presented rather than our own culture because their culture is more interesting; leading to extinction of some of Indonesians culture. Yes we cannot avoid the fact that some of the Indonesian culture and heritages have not been exposed. Yet, we as Indonesian should appreciate own culture by learning and knowing about it more thoroughly. So, our knowledge on our culture expands and we become complete Indonesians. Indonesian should not only know how to act as citizens of Indonesia but also conserve Indonesian culture and pass it over to our grandchildren. How to know and learn about Indonesian culture? If at least every Indonesian knows about Indonesian culture as many varieties as they can it will help Indonesian culture to prevail.Though we are also as busy as bees; we have a lot to do and a little time to rest especially in this modern and hectic era where people are searching for flexibility and efficiency, we should not act carelessly about what our country has. To forget about them is our mistake. Who would not get angry when one of our cultural heritages is claimed by other country? Even a child will get angry when his or her candies are taken by other kids. The logic is we cannot claim what we already have if we don’t learn and know about them. As what Indonesians proverb says ‘Tak kenal maka tak sayang’, if you do not know or understand about something then it can be said that you do not care about it.
Culture cannot be developed by its own, there has to be someone or a group of people who has a common love for the culture. Who is going to learn and know about Indonesian culture? Everyone especially those new generation; young people who have all the positive energy, mind, activity and creativity. Indonesian young people should use their positive energy to explore further about their own culture. With high nationalism, we, as Indonesians, have the chance to promote Indonesia anywhere on the globe. We know that Indonesia has many problems but we can promote Indonesia with its good qualities especially with the richness of Indonesian cultural heritages. Another Indonesian proverb says ‘Kacang tidak lupa dengan kulitnya’ we are born as Indonesian must act as Indonesians; have to love about our own culture because it shapes our identity as Indonesians.(cin)
